Unethical Marketing

A close family member sent me a gift through this company who promptly used my mailing information to create an unauthorized account. They began sending me MULTIPLE mailer catalogs which overstuffed my mailbox, rendering the lid unable to close, crushing important mail documents and exposing them to the elements wherein many pieces were ruined in the rain. Further, I maintain consistent registration with the DMAChoice registry and my account is active through December of 2028. The Lakeside Collection ignored this "Do Not Mail" status and sent unsolicited mailers, anyway. Worse yet, the gift was from a family member under a family name I do not use (or disclose) to ANYone, let alone create any accounts under this name. It is NOT my legal name, and I cannot provide current proof of identity therefor.

I attempted to go to their website to "opt-out" of a mailing list for which I never opted in. The only way to do so would be to create a full-blown account with their company, providing even more information, which I do not intend for them to have, and then change my mailer preferences. The creation of that account also requires agreement to receive additional marketing to all phone, email, and USPS contact channels. Suffice to say, I did NOT create an account. Their "chat" also requires verification of an email I do not wish to provide.

Next, I called their customer service line (not toll-free) and provided the Mailing ID No. on the back of each catalog received, verified the mailing address, verified my last name, and informed them the first name is a "nickname" that I DO NOT GO BY, but the representative insisted on calling me that on several occasions, regardless. She then insisted I must disclose an email address and phone number for "verification purposes" despite the fact that none was ever provided, and I only receive their mailers as a gift recipient. She CATEGORICALLY REFUSED to cease all harassment without disclosure of private information (phone and email), which could not be verified, as it was never provided in the first place. Further, their website states that provision of email and phone number constitutes approval to receive their marketing! She placed me on hold for more than 30 minutes waiting for a "supervisor" that never came on the line.

So far, I have spent more than 90 unpaid minutes between websites, phone calls, and other logistics management simply attempting to stop mailers I never authorized and cancel an account that was created in my identity without my permission. They verified ALL AVAILABLE information, and still refused to cancel the mailers. I am now filing complaints and reports with all available entities, and will return every piece of mail received "Refused -- RTS."

It is illegal to continue harassing someone through email when they have unsubscribed and will get you in big trouble with ICANN. How is it legal to harass someone through the federally governed United States Postal System, waste tangible resources, demand disclosure of more private and personally sensitive information, and occupy equipment dedicated to approved purposes, when they have blatantly requested cessation?

CONSUMER BEWARE. I placed an order with Lakeside Collections & paid with my Visa. I then was deluged with e-mails promoting their products. I tried unsubscribing many times to no avail. I then contacted Lakeside & requested removal from their e-mail list. I rceived reply from their Customer Support saying they would do so. I discovered Lakeside had surreptitiously used my Visa to enroll in their program LSCPerks.com whereby I was unknowigly paying for their advertising which I had attemped to escape from. The use of my credit card without my nowledge or consent amounts to fraud and I have contacted the Illinois Attorney General's office to make a formal complaint.

I then contacted Lakeside & requested removal from their e-mail list. I rceived reply from their Customer support saying they would do so. I discovered Lakeside had surreptitiously used my Visa to enroll in their program LSCPerks.com whereby I was unknowigly paying for their advertising which I had attemped to escape from.

After I received my I was totally disappointed in the quality of my order.

The storage cabinet broke as soon as we tried to put it together. The stovetop protectors are a big JOKE!!!

The only thing worth paying for is the cat mat.

I will NEVER order from your cheap company again and will let others to do the same. Ridiculous

Don't order if you're in a hurry or expect promptness

Ordered two vertical plate holders (two big hunks of plastic). Took Lakeside a full week to actually ship them. Did arrive fast after that as they used FedEx but you pay for that - charged $7 just for shipping. Did NOT ask for expedited shipping. Product is decent (screwing up plastic has to be hard). Who knows, maybe they actually make them after you order. Eliminates inventory costs.

Prices are really good

Prices are really good. Shipping was a little slow, but it was Christmas time and I had a big order. Like products as had replaceable standard batteries and some name brand toys do not. Toys were really inexpensive, but liked the quality. Saw other reviews saying had not received, but they were impatient around Christmas and made me think I wasn't going to get, but I did.

Do NOT order from this company

Do NOT order from this company. They will give false information that your order has been sent. The order never arrives. Emails asking about your order are ignored. If you call they will deny you ever placed an order, but yet your credit card was charged & you have emails confirming the order. So of course you can't resolve the issue. I will be disputing with my credit card company. I will NEVER do business with these people again.

I ordered a childs toy for a Christmas…

I ordered a childs toy for a Christmas gift Nov 23rd. It didn't ship until Dec 7th, or they told me it shipped. It actually hasn't shipped because only the label was made. Today, Dec 13th, it still says USPS is awaiting item. So 20 days after I ordered this, it still hasn't shipped. I will not order from this place again. Also customer service is not USA based and neither are the items, so definitely will not be ordering anymore.

OUTSIDE use multi-colored globe broke already

I bought an OUTSIDE use multi-colored globe in late Sept 2021. This globe is already not working after 2 months. This is for outside use and clearly it does not continue to work outside in the weather. Lakeside did send me a replacement so customer service is great.

Always Good Service

I love shopping with lakeside collections. The site has really affordable prices on over 90 percent of the items. Also a big selection to choose from. Then my orders always ship very quickly. This has been a big help over the years during the holidays. Getting what i need at a fair price, quickly. I recommend everyone to check it out. You will be glad you did for sure,
